A sculpture in a public space does not stand in isolation in an exhibition space, but becomes part of a place, its history and its inhabitants. It can provide a point of reference, spark conversations and enrich a space with a special atmosphere.

In my projects, I focus on people, their characteristics and the small moments of everyday life. My life-size sculptures combine a clear, expressive formal language with humour and a positive message. They are not intended to create distance, but to facilitate an immediate encounter – a brief moment of joy, a smile or a new perspective on one’s own everyday life.

Works already realised in public spaces demonstrate my experience in developing and implementing art projects for cities, local authorities, businesses and institutions. This involves creating bespoke concepts tailored to the specific location, its surroundings and the local community.

I oversee a project holistically, from the initial idea through to the design and model, right up to its final realisation. Depending on the requirements, I create sculptures in wood, bronze or aluminium that are suitable for long-term use both indoors and outdoors. I place particular importance on the connection between art, architecture and the character of a place.

My work in the field of public art represents art that is not merely viewed, but experienced. It creates small moments of connection in everyday life and gives public spaces a human, humorous and positive identity.

ART THAT ENCOUNTERS PEOPLE IN THEIR EVERYDAY LIVES My art in public spaces is born out of a desire to bring places to life and to take people away from their everyday lives, if only for a brief moment.
