Classical, free, almost comic-like

The human body has been at the center of art for centuries. My nude drawings and nude paintings build on this tradition, yet deliberately forgo academic perfection. All works are created from live models. What interests me is not ideal anatomy, but movement, posture, and the expression of a person in the respective moment.

With just a few lines, figures emerge that appear lively, immediate, and often humorous. The drawings move between classical nude drawing, free figure drawing, and a reduced, almost comic-like visual language. Precisely the omission of details opens up space for imagination and directs the gaze to what is essential.

Many works are created spontaneously and without lengthy preliminary sketching. The line remains visible and makes the creative process comprehensible. Small inaccuracies or apparent coincidences are deliberately part of the image and give the works their personal signature. Working with a live model creates a special presence and leads to drawings that capture the moment rather than idealizing it.

The nude series shows the human naturally and calmly. It is neither about provocation nor perfection, but about the joy of form, movement, and human presence. Thus works emerge that understand the nude as an independent form of figurative art and direct the gaze toward the human with openness and lightness.
